Hockey Ballarat AGM

The Hockey Ballarat AGM held on Monday night resulted in Cassie Lindsey elected as President, Sharon Ruyg as Vice President, Bas Groeneveld as Treasurer and David Ronaldson as Secretary. Also elected as committee members were Karen Eaton, Sue Walton, John Cleary and Annette Churchill to take up portfolios as outlined in the Strategic Plan

Hook In2 Hockey

Hockey Ballarat is please to announce that they will once again be running the Hook In2 Hockey program. 

An initiative of Hockey Australia, Hook in2 Hockey provides the ideal introduction to hockey for primary aged children.

The program is run by both junior and senior coaches providing fun environment for all. The program is set to begin 17th October and is running through until 12th December. I have attached the flyer for your information.

Registration is on the 17^th October at 6pm. Once again hockey kits will be available for purchase other wise, if you already own a hockey kit a merchandise pack will be purchased for your child. Cost for the program is $40.

If your child has already participated in the program, they are more than welcome to attend again, to further develop their skills.

Summer Twighlight Hockey

WestVic 2009 Trials

After a success full season in 2008 (with 3 out of the 4 teams participating in the HV finals series) WestVic Hockey are holding trials for the upcoming 2009 season. WestVic encourage all interested persons to attend the upcoming trials  (see attached flyer). Umpiring Changes

Charlie Martin will now be in Ballarat to coach/mentor developing umpires on the following days:

August 3rd- Senior Matches only

August 9th- Junior Matches only

Affirmative Action Planning

Over the past months a number of members of the association have been working hard creating a Strategic Plan for the Association- in the hopes of building the current structure and aiming for the future. Thank you to all those involved!

With the Strategic Plan completed ( latest draft attached) and priorities set it is now time for some affirmative action. If you have a passion and would like to see hockey in Ballarat move forward please come along. This is all something we can do to give a little back

The Ballarat Bendigo Bank Hockey Centre provides all weather synthetic facilities as well as lighting. The pitch can be booked for external users, depending on availability, for as little as $27.50/hour.

Junior Registrations & Payments

All<//u> Junior Registration forms and Fees must be recieved by the first week back from holidays. If these forms and payment are not recieved the child can not continue the season, until handend in. These forms are used for insurance and database purposes and ensures information is distributed effectively
